Electric rock violinists Linzi Stoppard & Ben Lee, aka FUSE, headline at the televised international GQ Men of the Year Awards from Mumbai, India.

The height of men's fashion awards were at the Mumbai Grand Hyatt hotel on Sunday night, attracting Bollywood's best came out to party.

The star-studded show was hosted by "Wake Up Sid" star Rahul Khanna and entertainment numbers included a show stopping rocking performance from the string super group FUSE, Linzi Stoppard and Ben Lee.

Linzi Stoppard and Ben Lee are the new violin rock stars of the future. Not satisfied with being just another classical crossover string cliche FUSE wanted to shake up the classical world and leave a mark. And that's exactly what they did - rockin' the celebrity crowd with tracks from their breakthrough album.

FUSE's Linzi Stoppard & Ben Lee are putting the finishing touches to their much anticipated debut release "Glorious", scheduled for an early release in the New Year. Apparently it is well worth the wait, re-writing what was thought possible for a traditionally classical instrument, the FUSE album will shake up the classical world with their fresh electrifying approach to making the violin a real alternative to the more common place guitar. FUSE album seriously rocks.

FUSE have already been labelled as "...the most innovative string act for over a generation, setting the bar for a new breed of violinists!"

Celebrating in style comes naturally to men’s luxury lifestyle magazine GQ. To commemorate one year of its arrival in India, the magazine launched the Men of the Year awards in association with Chivas Regal at the Grand Hyatt on Sunday. Lending the event some glitz and glamour were awardees Abhay Deol, who beautifully carried off the skinny tie look, Kareena Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan, Karan Johar, Katrina Kaif, Irrfan Khan, Karan Johar, Omar Abdullah, Parliament’s resident tweeter Shashi Tharoor, Lara Dutta and Abhay Deol all lit up the evening with their presence!

So who took home the trophy of Man of the Year? While competition was rude, with big shots like Amitabh, Abhishek and Irrfan in the crowd, it was Saif Ali Khan who finally bagged the reward! However, it seemed like the "Love Aaj Kal" star thought someone else deserved to win, and it’s not who you would think! "For me at the moment Kareena is my Man of the Year," Saif said about his victory.

Amitabh Bachchan received the Lifetime Achievement Award and "Road Movie" actor Abhay Deol was awarded with the Breakthrough Talent title.

In 2008 Linzi Stoppard and FUSE's unique approach and position was noticed by children’s charity CLIC Sargent who were looking for a contemporary act, but one with ties to classical music, to support and front their “Practice-A-Thon” campaign. FUSE ticked all the right boxes.
The campaign's aim are to inspire kids to pick up an instrument and practice. 25% of the money raised goes back to the participants' schools and 75% to CLIC Sargent.
To promote the “Practice-A-thon” campaign FUSE launched “Share A Stage” – young people aged from 13-24 submitted a video on Youtube of themselves or their band performing and a judging panel decided on a winner. The lucky victor played live with FUSE at Glastonbury 2008.
